"Baila, Baila, Baila"...Tamarindo's Music Episode!

On this special musical episode of Tamarindo, we have not one, but two very talented #WOC artists that are blending genres, while honoring their R & B roots to create some beautiful sounds. Before we get to our interviews with our special guests Abrina and Malia, we reflect on the #Urban Latinx music takeover that is fully entrenching itself in mainstream American culture at the moment. We also throw a few Latinx songs in the basura that we think are a little tooo played out. Let us know if you agree with us or what you would put in the basura instead! We Belong! Mental Health Access in the Latinx Community

On this episode of Tamarindo, we talk about #therapy and how it can help when we experience #trauma, a timely conversation with recent events that have targeted the #LatinxCommunity. On August 3rd, the people of El Paso experienced one of the most harrowing attacks in recent history at the hands of a White supremacist that specifically targeted immigrants and Latinos. We pause to reflect on that tragedy and other recent policy changes that are adversely affecting our community. As we referenced, this article outlines (https://medium.com/@WeAreUnidosUS/the-shadow-war-to-reshape-the-face-of-america-7c540750e495) how the Trump Administration is deliberately attempting to change the face of America so it looks less....well...brown. At a time when folks in the White House want to tell our community that we don't belong, we know how important it can be to access mental health resources. As part of our commitment to our community's well being, we talk to the creator of the #LatinxTherapy p...

Reproductive Rights for All!

On this episode of Tamarindo, we talk about what is at stake when it comes to #reproductiverights if we don’t take action to stop the intentional work taking place to dismantle #RoevWade. We feature Danielle Perez (https://www.instagram.com/divadelux/) , stand-up comedian, writer, and actress who is leveraging her platform to protect #AbortionAccess. She tells us about the YellowHammer Fund: yellowhammerfund.org which provides funding for anyone seeking care at one of Alabama’s three independent abortion clinics. Brenda also references many resources from the National Organizations for Women or now.org so check them out for ways you can protect reproductive rights for all. And since all this talk about Republicans rolling back the clock on women’s rights can produce anxiety, for our #calmamoment, Ana Sheila shows us how to get started with #journaling, a powerful tool that can improve overall well being and combat anxiety and stress. Lastly, we announce that Tamarindo is taking a...
